Selling Your Items with Us: Guidelines and Policies

You can drop off items for sale without an appointment during our opening hours, however if you wish to bring larger quantity items please contact us for to choose the best time.

Please review our guidelines to ensure your items meet our quality standards.

Accepted Clothing and Items:

  • We accept branded clothing in sizes 50 to 152 (0 to 12 years).

  • Besides clothing, we also accept unique, high-quality non-clothing items such as wooden toys, balance bikes, dollhouses, beautiful children’s books, or vintage nursery furniture.

  • Items from brands like Zeeman, Primark, and similar stores, as well as ultra-fast fashion brands like Shein, Boohoo, and Cider, are not accepted.

  • We do not sell toys or other products purchased from Temu and similar stores.

  • Suspected counterfeit products will not be selected for sale.

Clothing Condition:

  • All clothing must be recently washed with no stains, holes, or visible damage.

  • Even expensive branded clothes won’t sell if they are stained, so please check thoroughly before bringing them in. Pay special attention to sweat stains, spit-up marks on baby clothes, and yellowing on collars.

  • We recommend not selling old clothes that have been stored for a long time, as they typically don’t attract buyers. Clothing over 5 years old has a lower resale value, and items over 10 years old are not accepted at all.

  • Outdated fashion styles also have limited demand. We do not accept retro or vintage clothing, as Kidia is not the ideal place for such items.

Seasonal Clothing Intake:

  • Spring clothing: February to April

  • Summer clothing: May to July

  • Fall clothing: August to September

  • Winter clothing: October to January

Quality Control:

  • We do not sell stained, worn out, or damaged clothing or worn-out shoes.

  • Not all items you bring in will be put up for sale. We select items based on demand, condition, fashion, and seasonality.

  • If an item does not meet our criteria or is not in demand, it will not be accepted for sale.

Consignment Terms:

  • As a consignor, you will receive 40% of the sale price of your item. Your earnings are automatically paid out every two months.

  • Items are displayed in the store for approximately 12 weeks. If unsold after this period, they will either be donated to charity or can be collected within three weeks. If you wish to collect unsold items, please inform us in advance.

  • Unaccepted or uncollected items will be held for up to three weeks before they are donated to charities we partner with, such as Cordaan, Moeders van Noord, and Here to Support.

  • Any item that is found to be dirty or damaged after intake will be donated to charity without notice.

Please Note:

  • We assume that by bringing in your items, you have read and accepted our terms and conditions.

  • Ziggy + Lucy is not responsible for stolen or lost items, but we do our utmost to handle everything with care.
